Based on innovation, the new report sought to assess lawyers in a different way to other rankings currently available in the market. It sought to move away from ratings of law firms on the sole basis of PEP, size or even reputation. We chose innovation as the criteria as we felt that it would enable us to investigate firms in a way that would allow us to discover true excellence and commitment to clients, people and the wider community. RSG Consulting is a global legal strategy consultancy, which also produces ground-breaking reports and independent analysis on topics such as innovation, India and the future of the legal sector.
In 2009, RSG conducted over 500 telephone and face-to-face qualitative interviews to compile the FT Innovative Lawyers Report.
